Designed for everyday barcode capture, the Newland HR12 Anchoa combines Newland’s proven
1D decoding chip with a solid-state CCD scan engine to deliver quick, dependable reads on
standard linear symbologies. At the checkout, in a stock room, or at a packing bench, operators benefit from a
lightweight ~130 g form factor (with cable) that reduces fatigue during all-day shifts.
The HR12 supports multiple scan modes —Trigger, Auto-sense (Sense), Continuous, and Command—so you
can tailor behaviour to your workflow. Typical performance reaches up to 300 scans per second ,
with practical depth-of-field of 50–655 mm for EAN-13 (13 mil) and
55–165 mm for Code 39 (5 mil) . Bright red LED (610–640 nm) illumination makes
aiming intuitive, even on cluttered packaging or shiny surfaces.
With exceptionally low ~55 mA operating current, the HR12 is an energy-efficient choice for
eco-conscious deployments and USB-powered setups. It connects via a 2 m USB cable and presents as
HID keyboard or Virtual COM (CDC) for plug-and-play compatibility with most POS
